IEEE MJCET AT GLANCE
“A ship in port is safe, but that is not what ships are for. Sail out to sea and do new things.”
Technology is so much a part of everyday life that everyone has opinion on it.
IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional association and its membership has long been composed of engineers, scientists and allied professionals. It develops global standards in a broad range of industries, including: power and energy, biomedical and health care, IT Indus-
try and robotics, telecommunication and Home Automation, transportation, Nanotechnology, etc,.
IEEE MJCET has provided good and great opportunity for MJCET.It started an event in 2017 called STAC-Student Technical Awareness Conference. It conducts events as Hardware modelling where different models using different technology are students and also did Power point presentation [PPT] on topics of advance technologies and its enhancement in the future
Virtual but reality [VBR] was a event on the concept of virtual imaging and its applications. IOS vs Android vs windows [DEBT] was an event on various OS.
3D Printing and Design was a learning session where students are taught to design a 3d model. IEEE MJCET also organized a trip to TECH MAHINDRA
BOOK distribution -A Teacher –student program where we have visited Guru Murthy Govt School . And all these events are held successful with lot of enthusiasm and benefits.
The IEEE Student Branch MJCET, initiated a campaign on Climate Change with the use of sustainable technology, as the theme for the Student Technical Awareness Conference 2017 and discussed about how we can maneuver technology into curbing climate change.
Four major professional and technical events were organized based on our theme “Climate Change” to disseminate consciousness amongst fellow students.
Technological progress has been on both ends of the environmental spectrum. On one hand the further use of technology can cause degradation within the natural environment, while on the other hand, it can be its savior. As we progress into the 21st century, never before have we had so many possible environmental catastrophes building on the horizon. At the same time though, never before have we been on the brink of such progress that nearly every environmental problem could potentially be avoided, and solved.
